Delores (Lois) Currie was born in Paterson, NJ December 9, 1948 to Maggie and Walter Reed.
Lois attended P.S. # 4 and John F. Kennedy High School. She was employed at Paterson Housing Authority for over twenty years.
Lois was a person who always helped those that were in need. She had a kind and warm spirit and a smile that would light up the world. She also could be mean if you made her mad, but if you needed her help she was always there. Lois was a person who loved her grand kids and adored her son. She enjoyed going out and partying with family and friends. She enjoyed dressing up and looking at herself and asking for her sisterâ€(TM)s approval. Her favorite saying was “donâ€(TM)t I look nice” and she would say “right right”. She will be sadly missed by all those she came in contact with. To know her was to love her. She will forever remain in the hearts of many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Russell Currie and father, Walter Reed.
She leaves to cherish in her memory: one son, Gerard Currie of Paterson, NJ; her loving mother, Maggie Reed Porcha and stepfather, Walter Porcha of Paterson, NJ; three sisters, Margaret (Donald) Currie, Lorraine (Larry) Gales and Cynthia (Reed) Cox; two brothers, James (Margaret) Reed and Larry (Gladys) Reed; two step brothers, Vincent and Paul Porcha all of Paterson, NJ; four grandchildren, Daya, Dahvon, Rashetta and Cassandre; one goddaughter Neddra; sister-in-law, Carolyn Currie of Ridgewood, NJ; devoted friend, Robert Boddie; dear friend, Rachel Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
