Marion Edith Tuck McKinley was born to
the late Rev. J.C. and Margaret (Johnson)
Allen in Paterson, NJ.
Marion was educated by the Paterson School System.
She was employed by the Preakness Medical Center, Wayne, NJ for twelve years before retiring. She was a group member at her fathers church The North View Baptist Church, Paterson, NJ.
On March 24th Jerry Luke McKinley and Marion were united in marriage.
From this union came Jerry Jr. born August 5, 1951 and
passed on August 14, 1951. Then came Therisa
Yvonne, Geraldine, Christeena, Lawrence
Jerry and Neal.
Marion who was affectionately known as Eddy
to everyone she was the baby of eighteen
brothers and sisters.
She loved the Lord.
Her father Rev. James Allen was the family's
pastor and Edith was the founder of the churches
music department by the name of the North View
Gospel Singers which included her daughter,
Therisa as the lead singer, her two sisters, Thelma
Green and Margaret Harris as the background and
her as the guitar player.
Later her son Lawrence joined and played the bass for the group. Marion's instruments that she played included key board, organ, lead and bass guitar which made her a one woman band she even had a beat boy.
She was predeceased by son, Lawrence McKinley
on July 18, 2011 and grandson, Jermaine L.
McKinley on July 27, 2011, one granddaughter
in-law, Denise McKinley.
Marion leaves to mourn her passing: her husband
of sixty-one years Mr. Jerry Luke McKinley;
daughters, Mrs. Therisa Evans/Adrian, Mrs.
Geraldine McFadden, Ms. Christeena McKinley;
son, Mr. Neal McKinley; grandchildren,
Twaneice Alexander, General McFadden,
Chennel McKinley, Christa Evans, Nicole
McKinley, Vaughn McKinley, Taylor Thompson,
Mikhail Rogozinski, Quaneshia McKinley,
Shante McKinley, Andre Allen, Breanna
McKinley; great-grandchildren, LaTasha Wilson,
Integrity Hogan, Jahad Alexander, Rashad
