Marion was born Tuesday, August 26, 1930 in Cameron, South Carolina. He was born to the late Jervy and Alice (Irick) Blacks. Marion in one of ten children. He became a member of Williams Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in 1952 where he served on the Trustee Board, Gospel Male Chorus and Mass Choir. Marion was employed by Sea Crest Linen Services for over fifty years until he retired in 2000.
Marion was married to Jervine (White) Blacks. They were united in holy matrimony on September 2, 1950 in New York, New York. The lived there several years before moving to Passaic, NJ where they resided for over five decades. Several years after retiring he moved to Snellville, GA.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories is wife of 61 years, Jervine (White) Blacks, his seven lovely daughters, Mary Jenkins of Alabama, Rosann Carter (Jerry) of Florida, Alice Anderson, Lorranine Blacks and Arlene Johnson of Georgia, Gloria Carter (James) of North Carolina, Mae Ray of New Jersey, his ten grandchildren, Patrice and Kim Jenkins, Tenesha Blacks Jackson (Darin), Reshandt Kenner (Kristie), Keon and Tyeshawn Ray "D", Ayanna Carter, Tiajah, Andranay and Andi Johnson, his eleven great-grandchildren, Jaquan, Zahire, Yasir, Onyeah and Zha Tashia Kenner "D", Keyshawn Ray, Kamiera Mc Daniel, Justice, Meah, Skylar and Jeea Jackson and one great-great-grandson, Zakye Kenner, six brothers, Jervy "D", Wilbur, Willie, Eden "D" Alfonso "D", John "D", two sisters, Mary Lou Bradley "D", Dorothy Blacks-Henderson his baby sister, and daughter wrapped up in one.
He also has several sisters-in-law, and one special brother-in-law, Harold Henderson who is like a son, nieces, nephews, and other friends.
Marion enjoyed bowling, playing bingo with his mother and sister and just having fun with his family.
Marion loved the Lord and the Lord loved him. He allowed him to see 81 wonderful years.
