Searing Grief For Slain Girl

The city of Paterson grieves as we say good bye to Nazerah J. Bugg.

Thousands came out to pay their respects at The St. Luke Baptist Church on Thursday, October 2nd.

The Carnie P. Bragg Funeral Home Staff was among the grief stricken family to assist during this time of bereavement.

Two of Carnie P. Bragg’s  finest the Rev. Anthony Cureton and Takiya Moses-Morrison can be seen assisting the family as they left the church.

They wore basketball jerseys, buttons and special shirts in her honor.

Many wept, a few leaving Nazerah Bugg’s funeral service so grief stricken they let out screams that echoed down the street.

Such was the community’s anguish from students to activists to local officials and other residents lined up outside of The St. Luke Baptist Church  to say so long to Nezerah, a dedicated basketball player who aspired to one day join the WNBA.
